Edge of Perception

Created from scratch in Procreate using the liquify tool, this piece explores the chaotic landscape of internal struggle. The swirling patterns in electric blue and magenta against the dark background represent the turbulence of the mind when navigating personal challenges. The small human figure at the edge of this abstract world symbolizes the vulnerability of youth standing at the precipice of overwhelming experiences—a visual metaphor for feeling small in a vast, sometimes disorienting reality. This work draws from my personal experience with schizophrenia, translating the sensation of mental chaos into fluid digital forms that both engulf and illuminate the human presence within them.
