Ways of Seeing

This reimagined book cover for John Berger's influential 'Ways of Seeing' combines AI-generated imagery created with Midjourney and custom typography designed in Affinity Photo. After reading the book, I developed a visual concept that captures its core themes of perception and observation through surrealist imagery. The design features an oversized eye overlooking an architectural landscape, symbolizing the relationship between the viewer and the viewed—a central concept in Berger's work. The complementary product mockup shows how the design would appear in physical form, demonstrating both the cover design itself and its presence in a real-world context. This project showcases my ability to combine AI image generation with traditional design skills to create conceptually-driven visual solutions.
